Default spark plugs

i think im gonna try the denso iridiums.

have any of yall replaced your plugs yet?

and if so, with what?

im sitting at 60k right now so i think its bout damn time.

EDIT:
it was all straight forward except you have to remove and replace the front driver plug from the wheel well.

second edit: after 2 tanks of gas i can report an average increase of 1.5-2mpg.

SUCH a worthwile mod.

I doubt anyone but you has 60k on a 1yr old truck. I just turn 16k on mine and don't plan on changing my plugs anytime soon.

That would be cool if I was the first one to change the plugs on a v8 355.

Useless, but cool.

These trucks come with 100K mile Iridium plugs in them from the factory, you still have 40K left on them, maybe just check the gap?

My last 3 gm's had over 100k when I changed plugs because of guilt. All were were fine, maybe the gap opened a little. With today's computers, and quality ignitions, plugs last. I doubt you could run that truck back to back on a dyno (or at the track) after a plug change and show me a significant change. Seat of the pants performance is BS.

My last 2 GM vehicles had 100K plugs & I changed them at that mileage, they were looking pretty good when I changed them. And I used the GM oil life system to change the oil in them too. Used high quality synthetic oil. Never had a problem in 130K miles on one & 160K on the other. Doing the same with the Colorado.

On my Silverado I did change the oil in between the GM oil life system recommendation a couple times as I raced that truck in Open Road racing a few times.

I never keep anything long enough to worry about plugs.
